Make Your Job Easier with Virtual Sign Language Interpreting Services!

Hello, My name is Lillah Harris with LAF Sign Language Solutions.

I'm the owner and Interpreter Supervisor here at LAF SLS. And I would like to tell you a little bit today about what is included in our services that can make your job as administrators and Special Education Directors easier.

The first thing that's included with our services is onboarding and technical support for teachers and staff. So, before services even begin we really want to take the time with your staff and with your teachers to provide training and also some tutorials on how to connect to our virtual interpreting platform and also how to communicate with our virtual interpreters, how to utilize the services to the fullest extent possible on a day to day basis.

The next thing that's included in our services is screening for interpreters.

We know how important it is to hire qualified and sometimes even certified interpreters that meet the requirements of your state or your district.

And that's something that we take a lot of time to make sure that we do

and also to provide an interpreter that can fit the needs of your student.

Some other things included with our service is the coordinating of interpreter and student schedules. We also provide ongoing support

throughout the duration of services about the student's performance and

anything that's coming up in class that the educational team might need

to know.

Our interpreters also become part of the IEP team and so they can participate and share feedback in IEP meetings.

We have substitutes available virtually. That is a big part of your job, is

making sure that whenever there are gaps in services because of planned

or unplanned absences of interpreters that your students still receive the

services that they need. And so substitute services are built

into the services that we provide as well.

So all of these things and features are designed to make your job easier
