We can't wait to share our plans for continued growth in the coming year!
Hello and welcome to 2024. We cannot believe how quickly the past year has gone by. In 2023, LAF Sign Language Solutions, our clients, our students, and our interpreters all had a fantastic year. We'd like to share some of the comments that we received in our end-of-year survey with you.
One teacher stated, “ Seeing my student engage and interact with the interpreter every day made the biggest difference. She was so happy. The services were simple and convenient to use and they motivated the student to engage in their classes.” And lastly, another teacher stated that the interpreters they worked with each day were, “The most loving and helpful, and professional interpreters. They engaged with the student and the staff members in such a fun and interactive way daily.
In addition to our interpreting services, LAF Sign Language Solutions has always remained committed to being a reliable and informative resource for educators, administrators, and even parents who work with deaf and hard-of-hearing students. And so last year, we were able to host our first-ever live webinar event. We had a discussion about the top tips for educating deaf and hard-of-hearing students, with our panel consisting of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Teacher, Special Education Director, and a very skilled Interpreter
who shared some very informative information with all of our attendees.
And it was a big success.
We developed an EIPA prep course last year to help educational interpreters prepare and take their Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment.
The goal of this Prep program was to help interpreters to build their confidence, to increase their skill, and also to learn more about the profession and the role of an educational interpreter in the classroom.
Because of this prep course, multiple interpreters were able to take their EIPA written and performance exam and receive very high scores.
So as we wrap up a very busy 2023, we are excited to see how we can continue to grow in the next year.
